Introducing Sinikka Pelkonen, DVM, PhD, Head of the Veterinary Bacteriology Research Unit at Evira. Professor Sinikka Pelkonen has had an extensive career as a specialist and researcher in veterinary bacteriology. Professor Pelkonen started her career in 1982 at the former State Veterinary Institute as a veterinary physician in its Department of Sero-bacteriology, specialising in bacterial disease diagnostics.
